“ One of the Oldest spots in the neighborhood and Still delicious....Been coming here over 3 decades... ”
“ Cash only! Be ready. The monk fried rice and fried catfish/fried shrimp plate was great with huge portions and the price can't be beat for the quality. These 2 dishes literally fed me for 3 meals. I want to come back and try their shrimp boils and boudin. The seafood is definitely the star of the show. Their tartar sauce is from packets, and I'm a condiment fiend so usually this would be a turn off but the food is bomb enough on its own. ”
“ The best in Houston buy the whole uncooked catfish and have them to cook it. No bones, bones to the side and order the monk rice the boiled shrimp is good. Also, the fried oysters are good as well. ”
“ I came from Los Angeles to see my dad and he recommended this place. I asked him if they accepted call in orders and he said "if you can get them to answer". Not only did that answer quickly, the gentleman taking my order was a complete character, he had me laughing from the time he answered until we hung up. He took my order thoroughly in his BEST customer service voice and made sure everything was accurate. Everything was amazing. Can't wait to go back to visit. ”
